Great that you want to help!
We especially need people to walk around during the competitions, see who finishes next and write down the times. Accompanying persons who are not taking part in the competition are also welcome.
Register via https://puzzleverein.de/event_volunteer.php?id=15
If you are still looking for team members, you can find suitable people here on the website via the team search.
Otherwise, you can make a request on the discord server of the Puzzleverein Deutschlands, for example.
Under 18-year-olds can take part in the competition if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Spectators are allowed and welcome. There is an area in the hall for spectators and participants who are taking a break.
Dogs and other pets may not be brought into the competition area or the spectator/break areas. They are not permitted in the entire interior of the venue due to the house rules.
Basically, a team must consist of at least 3 and a maximum of 4 people. Team members can be changed in the registration form here on the website up to a few days before the competition. If it is no longer technically possible to change team members, please let reception know on site.
We will allocate unused places to participants on the waiting list or to spectators at short notice. If there is no interest, the place will remain free.
If individual pair or team members are too late, they can join their pair or team later.
There will be rows of tables this time, as otherwise we won't have enough individual tables.
Solo and couple each have 70 x 100 cm space. You will receive a white cardboard in the size 70 x 100 cm to compensate for any unevenness on the tables. The 500 piece puzzles have a size of 34 x 48 cm.
Teams have 70 x 200 cm space. You will receive 2 white boards in the size 70 x 100 cm. The 1000 piece puzzle has a size of 48 x 68 cm.
Trays, plates and sorting boxes are permitted as aids, as are box-top holders. The number and size can be freely chosen and must be brought by the participants themselves.
Scissors, knives and other sharp objects for opening the puzzles are not permitted. The puzzles will already be open, so no tools are required.
Additional light sources, objects that change the height or arrangement of the tables and templates that represent the puzzle manufacturer's pattern or the puzzle motif are also not permitted.

By registering, you are entering into a contract with the event organiser regarding your participation. The organiser is named on the event page and is responsible for processing your registration details; the Jigsaw Puzzle Events platform processes them on the organiser’s behalf.
To run the competition, participants’ first name, surname, date of birth and nationality are required. Names and nationality, as well as the times achieved and placings, will be published in start lists, in announcements during the event and in results lists. This forms part of taking part in a sporting competition.
Information regarding accessibility is voluntary and will only be passed on to the organiser with your express consent.
Details regarding the processing of your data, payments and your rights can be found in the privacy policy. The organiser’s rules regarding photographs, videos, the event programme and conduct are set out in the event rules.
Only participants and officials (persons authorised by Linn Schiffmann (organiser)) may enter the competition area.
Participants must be on site 15 minutes before the start of the competition.
Participants under the age of 18 are generally permitted. They must be accompanied by an adult. To take part in the individual competition, children under the age of 14 in particular should be able to solve a 500-piece puzzle independently in the required time and, if possible, have already done so several times.
If a participant is unable to attend, Linn Schiffmann reserves the right to nominate participants at short notice, e.g. on the basis of a waiting list.
Until the start of the competition is announced by an official and the stopwatch is started, the puzzle boxes must not be manipulated, unsealed or opened.
Officials will monitor the competition and note the times of the participants. If a competing person/pair/team is close to completing a puzzle, the person/pair/team should raise their arm to alert an official to record the time. After checking for completeness, the official will record the time and pass it on to the head judge.
After completing the puzzle, participants may leave the competition area early, taking all their belongings with them and taking care not to obstruct other participants. At the end of the competition, all participants should leave the competition area quickly with their belongings so that it can be prepared for the next competition.
If pieces are missing at the end of the puzzle, 10 seconds will be added to the final time for each lost piece.
If the puzzle is not completed in the allotted time, the officials will count and note the correctly placed pieces.
Sorting aids or plates may be used as aids. Box top holders are also permitted. Headphones are permitted as long as they do not disturb other participants.
Participants must bring their own aids for this purpose.
Any objects that change the height or arrangement of the tables are not permitted. Additional light sources are not permitted.
Any assistance during the competition from a person other than the participant may result in disqualification.
All puzzles used in the competition are the property of the participants after the competition has been completed.
The decisions of the judges during the competitions are final.
The organiser points out that pictures and film recordings will be made during the event and that these may be published on the Internet or other social media. By participating in this public event, the participant waives his/her "right to his/her own image".
The organiser is not liable for loss or theft of items of any kind.
In the event of cancellation or postponement of the championship for reasons beyond the control of Linn Schiffmann (organiser), Linn Schiffmann shall not be liable for any indirect expenses incurred by participants.
